SUCKING PEST OF CHILLI

CHILLI THRIPS

• The thrips are lender, tiny, straw coloured insects
• The thrips are lacerate the leaf and suck the sap from leaves
• Thrips attack growing new buds and shoots
• It affects new leaves,shoots ,in sometimes it may also affect buds,and flowers
• In rarely cases it affects the older leaves

symptoms :

• The affected buds are dropping
• The infested leaves curling upward

CHILLI APHIDS

• Both nymphs and adults suck sap and also excrete honeydew

Symptoms

• The  leaves can loose lustre

• Both nymphs and adults suck sap in lower side of leaves  
• The plant can show symptoms like  ‘Murda’ disease

• In some time dark green pataches or dots appear on the affected leaves
• The leaves are cluster at the tip of branches
